CREATING A NEW TOPIC

Overview

From the conference browsing screen you have the option of creating a new topic. Select this option and you will jump to the topic creation screen. Here you type the subject line for your new topic and the first response.

Topic Subject

The first thing to do when entering a new topic is to create a subject line for the topic. This is the line that will follow the topic number on the conference browsing screen. Choose your words carefully here -- you want to be as descriptive yet concise as you can.

Initial Response

After the subject line is the text box for the initial response to begin the topic. This is what will initiate the discussion of your subject and set the tone so again be careful in choosing your words.

When Not To Add A New Topic

If there is a topic in the conference that deals with your topic even slightly, consider posting in the existing topic. Too many topics can make a conference difficult to navigate.
