I
felt I should give you my own two cents as well. The
above speakers have said things so much more eloquently than I can, so I
will keep things simple. Please
remember the following: We
are all responsible for each other. Your
everyday work is your biggest statement as a human here....make it
something good. Love
is all we have...cultivate it in every interaction you have. Act
with compassion, respect and care for our earth and all on it. Calm
down, you have enough time to get where you are going. Don't
use more than you need....period. Look
for and take each opportunity for grace that is presented to you. Remember
your lifelong support group and give each one a call occasionally. We will never truly understand our origins, so just look up and remember that you are a miracle- and then act like one. When you are just about to discharge some anger or grief towards someone, take strength and turn it into kindness, it is the highest and most powerful thing you can do. Remember to love your enemies, they need it. Be totally silent for 10 minutes a day. Be thankful for your blessings. If you have your health, be glad every day. Support your friends. Call and council them. Plant
a tree. Your life will go
as quickly as you do, so slow down. Look out the window and take a
breath. See what you can smell. When you are at the end of your rope,
remember that it is all in your head- and you can just turn it off...the
stress is killing you. The
trick in life is turning problems into advantages. Take big baddies and
look for the golden lining, there always is one. When you are in the
pits of emotional sadness, take pleasure in feeling...because
better times are just about to come...and you will enjoy them even more. Forgive your friends. Without forgiveness, you won't have any. Encourage you spouse. They want a fulfilling life and need your support to have the courage to find it. When you are sad, go help someone else in need. Conversely,
when you see a parasite, steer clear. Surround
yourself with beauty. Colors, flowers, smells, warm baths, hot tea,
sweet music and nice people.
Make your world a nice place to be. Avoid
people who find joy in cultivating anger and hate. Call them out on it
and then leave. You have done your duty, and saved yourself. Use
less -and use what you have. Don't run the water when you brush your
teeth. Recycle. Give $10 to a positive organization. Try to forgive those who don't share your beliefs. You'll never convince them of your ideas, only muddy your communications and injure your relationship. Lead by example. Be
a mentor to a youth if possible. Being a non-parent mentor is one of the
most positive things you can do. Children are pretty lost, so encourage
them to have and follow a dream. Everyone can do anything. Infect them
with confidence and courage. Fear
is the worst motivator. Fear is the most powerful motivator as well.
Entire political philosophies are based on it (present one included). Have the courage to know
that the Gods love you and so with any luck at all, you will live a
charmed life. Give that message to everyone you cross paths with. Call
out evil and champion good. Speak out against intolerance, greed and all
the lowest human characteristics...for you are a worrier for what is decent and
good. You are responsible to act in the light of good, as you are a
manifestation of it. God won't save you. Technology won't save you. When you can face yourself, you will be safe. That’s
enough ehh? No one can do everything right, so remember to forgive
yourself too. Peace- |
