O.K.: Which American refrigerator manufacturer made cars betwen the late '30's and the mid '50's?

This manufacturer was also one of the first to make refrigerators with shelves on the door!

"Ummmmmmmmmmm............
Is there anybody out there?"

- From Is There Anybody Out There
from "The Wall" by Pink Floyd

O.K., O.K.! The answer is Crosley, O.K.? Eesh! They should rename this conference "Volvo 480"; no other car seems to exist!

We're out here just waiting for some action. I keep the volcanoes erupting in Geo. Can NASCAR inspire us to post here more frequently?! I can't believe it is Daytona qualifying time again.

At the price of cars now, nothing about them is trivial...!

I used to think very little of NASCAR, and as it is today I still do, but when I realize that homologation for NASCAR created the Ford Talladega, the Ford Mustang Boss 429, the Dodge Charger 500, the Dodge Charger Daytona and the Plymouth Road Runner Superbird, I think a bit more kindly about the organization, in a historical sense, at least...

Then there's the Pontiac Le Mans and Buick Riviera and the marques all had Corniche of one sort or another. Then again, there is the Geo .....*sigh*

I find it funny that "poor redneck Southern boys" race for millions of dollars in cars that are far from stock! History is funny stuff, Looking back at the events takes on a luster it did not have while living through it. You thought of far more than came to my mind. What? No Darlington or Watkins Glen?

Seeing a picture of Junior Johnson's Impala was something of a shock to me. One generally does not think of a 60s Impala as a racing car, but something about seeing it set up for racing looks undeniably fitting, a thumb of the nose at Ferraris and MGs...

Wolf, to quote Led Zeppelin: "Been a long time, been a long time, been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lone-ly time."

Then again, hot-rodded Lincolns regularly beat Ferraris in the Carrera Panamericana road races in the early-mid 50s...
