ok collectors of folk art, gotta question about kitchen witches (no, not pagan stuff). my german grandmother has one, my mother has one, and i want one. am going to try to make one myself, but if you know anything about them, please post here! thanks in advance

thanks for that, marcia, but they're referring to witches in the kitchen, like real witches. what i'm referring to is the european folksy kitchen witches that are hung in the kitchen for good health. they are actually dolls on brooms and are for decorative purposes.

it did, but there were messages about the doll not the origin. and lots and lots of stuff on being a kitchen witch! (did that google search myself and there were so many results, i was overwhelmed!) *HUGS*

yes, Yes, YES!!! thanks marcia, this is more like it. i've got stuff to make my witch and if i'm successful, maybe i'll make some as gifts. but it'd be nice to include a card as to the origin of these gals. i'll keep looking for that. thanks for those sites!!!! *HUGS*
