let us know about that thingamajig you want to add to your collection or to finish a set or whatever!

ok, i'll start....can anyone tell me the name of those british head deals? they're almost like caricatures of different people (fictional) and are small enough to hang on the wall. i recall a friend who had several of these things and i never did learn what they were called. (nooo, not shrunken heads or voodoo masks or anything). i don't even know what they were made of. most were the faces of old men with pipes and beards and stuff.

The mind boggles. A tranferred Tennesseean? Are there more of us than I suspected at first? And for what were they all volunteering? I know... do you?

Oh no ! Hmmm. I guess I am a Psnnsylvanian transplanted to the banks of the Ohio River. I'll be paying more attention when you instruct us on recipes. Have you any suggestions for a student Southern Belle?

Kentucky is lovely, actually (and yes, your Kenuckian is spelled right. It just looks funny) However, the state in parts west of here is one long swamp.

Hmmm...actually, before coming to Texas, I lived in (reverse order) Winchester, Lexington, Louisville (Fairdale), Sandy Hook, and was born in West Liberty, and still have relatives all over the place up there.

I liked living in Louisville on St. James Court and making the 5 minute ride downtown in my Honda 350. And it was fun being a stringer for the Louisville Courier Journal newspaper. The City of Louisville paid for my college education. The people there are awesome.

Oh my goodness !!! I know of where you speak. In fact, I've been to most of them. A few years ago I'd never have known. Who could imagine?! Oh man, are we the only Kentuckians on Spring? I have so many questions. I'm between Churchill Downs and the main Campus of U of Louisville (Belknap campus) Just south of where Terry used to live in St James Court! The world is getting smaller all the time. The people here are wonderful. Much better than in Hilo with all that vaunted aloha spirit.

The Louisville Courrier-Jounral is one of the great newspapers. How great that you got something so valuable from your association with it.

yeah, i thought wer was texan too. i've only driven through louisville. the only other person i knew from there was arrogant---thought himself to be better than everyone else. no, i didn't associate all kentuckians with that trait though.

Well, I'm here with a Tennesseean and I am such a mix American seems to fit best. I knew wer wasn't a native Texan. But now that I can hear what KY sounds like, I am having trouble putting his posts into that soft accent. It is enchanting, though. These guys could sell swamp for beachfront property!

What have you found out about Kentucky and Louisville this year? What do you like and don't like about KY/and L'ville?
