Shed a tear for the Armadillo. Such a tearful day,
pass the handerchef again.

Got to be that place next to the Crown and Anchor... they've got pinball!!!
But I'm pretty partial to the Dog & Duck!

All I'm saying is,
if you keep up the flock of questions
she's liable to pound ya.

That was quite an exchange back in 97.
Beer gardens. My new fave has to be Shady Grove. It's down on Barton Springs road and expect to see me there on occasion this summer.

'bout time to start frequenting the "Grove" again! It's that time of year.

Went there on the last visit too... (8/2002)... I traded my hippie sandwich for a hippie chick... something about pregnancy urges my body to eat meat! And I traded my Shady Thang for a fresh squeezed lemonade... Riley's not too into alcohol at this age!
(I am amazed that Austin still feels like 'home' to me after so long away...)

I went there once last summer.
I say last summer, because yesterday really felt like the last day of summer in Austin and today feels like the first day of Fall.
There was a great concert going on outdoors. They have that little trailer trash exhibit out back, it's kind of a cool. Maybe the grounds there used to be a trailer park. Shady Grove trailer park might be a next door neighbor. This is a neato little strip along Barton Springs road, definitely gives you a high feeling just to be around there. Have you ever been to Casa de Luz around the corner from here, the macrobiotic restaurant, talkin' hippie stuff.
Next time you visit give me the old ring a ding, Stace'. OK?

It's about that time of year again, last chance to visit the "Grove", Shady Grove. How's that song go?

OK, will do. Closest I've been to Shady Grove is the Austin Java Company.
It was interesting. I sent for a swim at Barton Springs and saw one of Leighton Hodge's partygoers there. Then I popped in to AJC with my craplet and I saw Gretta, and a bunch more Leightonites.
The, the next day I was on imeem and Leighton popped in from Thailand where he's doing a medical tourist excursion for the next couple of weeks.
Then, I got an email from Antonio ( http://magickpapers.com ) and put one and one together and hooked up Leighton with Tony and there're going to go clubbing in Thailand.
Small world, isn't it?
