A friend of mine, Katrina, went out on a date and her friend took
here to Dan McLusky's and they brought out a *raw steak* and showed
it to them. Asked them if it was ok to cook.
Now that's getting too carried away.
My response would be "get that thing outa here!"
She also noted, tres espensive.

My friend Jennifer went out with this guy, Eric who, in trying to impress her, took her to the Black Angus (premier Denver steak establishment). After she ordered salad and baked potato, he caught on to the fact she doesn't eat meat.
It worked out okay though and she spent the last weekend in NYC visiting him.

How's Jennifer doing?
Did her and Eric get hooked up?

We may never know. The best steaks come from range-fed Parker Ranch cattle here on the Big Island. I have promised such a steak but think it'll never be claimed.

Now, I'm gonna get out of this conference until I have someone to talk to and not have to read what I was not supposed to be reading...like he said.

Terry, you're on your own if you post in GenX... That is definitely off limits for me. Thank you very much.

It's "off limits" for me too, but I go there anyway. Are you ready for me to start taking "shots" at the Austin Chronicle Readers and Critics Best of choices this year?
Should I tee off?

OK, fasten your seat belts.
To begin with, I don't eat steak.
. . . except once in a Blue Moon. I'm not one for "never".
But for you carnivores, the prize goes to Ruths Chris. Ya know I don't
like this place and I've never even been there. I think it's because Rush
Limbaugh endorsed it.
Runner ups are Sullivans, Austin Land and Catttle (my
uneducated choice for number one because I've been there), and Texas Land
and Cattle. What's next, Bubba's Land and Cattle?
Outback, Rays and Dan McLusky's get Honorable Mention.
I'll stick with veggies.

I'm actually an omnivore but a good juicy steak which "tastes like a cut lip" as my ex used to say is the stuff of dreams. So is prime rib - which, if I had my choice, I would order in a heartbeat over the steak.
Terry, I am having severe problems accessing the posts in this conference. More than any other!

That's ok, grit your teeth and make one run through and then you'll only see the most recent of posts, which are of course my acerbic commentaries on the local restaurant scene. The journey has just begun.

Yes, I see it has, and I think "Romantic" equates with "Pricey" so I'll pack a lovely picnic and have all the civilized amenities along with all the best food I can put in there - choose a lovely tree with large obscuring umbrella limbs and a view worth the walk to get there.
No steak!
