Mobile web browsing using a radio or a cellphone. How do you do it? Do
you want to do it? At what cost? Is it worth it? This topics also

I've heard of a setup that works for mobile web browsing. The guy that did
this is getting serious geek points. Do you have any idea how valuable
geek points are around Austin?


The mobile device is called a MagicLink.

It's only 4800-9600bps depending on how near the cellsite you are.

Cost:

Sony PIC-2000 w/ Presto!Links and Presto!Mail: $650 or so.
Sony cellphone adapter kit: $250
Cellphone: $200-$500. *Test it*. Don't buy a cheap cellphone
that won't work.
